January 14 @ 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm
I hope you have had an amazing new year. It has been too long since we have gotten together, but that is all about to change. Our January meeting is scheduled for this SUNDAY January 14, 2018 at 3pm! Doors open at 2:30PM, if you would like to socialize please arrive early, so we can start our meeting on time.
Joe Middleton will be speaking at GPAS’s January meeting. His talk is on “Central American Cichlids For The Modern Aquarium: a treatise on the most tanksafe cichlids and friends in their natural habitats as well as the aquarium”. Joe’s talk is on Sunday January 14th, 2018 at 3pm; located at the East Portland Moose Lodge (16411 NE Halsey St, Portland, OR 97230)! Please remember to enter through the back entrance of the lodge.
Joe Middleton has been keeping and studying fish for over 30 years. He has traveled to Central America a dozen times to see fish in the wild. He will show visual highlights of his experiences and present the argument that some if these fishes deserve a place in suitable, modern aquascapes.
Following Joe’s presentation there will be an auction. Our BAP/HAP chair is excited to catalog and reward your breeding successes. Don’t forget to bring your BAP/HAP’s! There will be a few copies of the BAP/HAP’s forms at the meeting or you can find a copy here: http://gpas.club/
We will be holding the January bowl show competition as well. This month it is Bettas, Anabantoids, & Gourmis. More information can be found here: Bowl Shows
The board meeting will be held on Wednesday January 17, 2016 at 7:30pm at Roland and Kim Holtz’s house.
